On March 3, 2024, the President, Dr. Nadhim S. Jacksi, along with the vice presidents, deans of colleges, staff, and students of the university, accompanied by citizens of Zakho Independent Administration, visited Barzan to pay their respects at the tomb of the Kurdish nation’s leader, Mullah Mustafa Barzani, in commemoration of his sacrifices and the life-long struggle for the Kurdish cause.
